Now I'm going to break it down for you and explain how it all works.

1. Determine your niche: Could you imagine working at a job everyday that you hated or didn't care anything for? It's like being in limbo, purgatory, or hell. If your chosen niche is something you have no interest in there's a good chance you'll get tired and bored with it pretty quickly. So make a list of all the things you're interested in, and all the things you could be interested in before doing anything else.

2. Research your niche: Now we have to see if there are enough other people interested in what you're interested in. There's no sense in making a great site and doing all the work if nobody will visit your site. Get it? This is critical. There are plenty of tools for researching niches. The best free tool is the Google key Word Search Tool. Type in a chosen subject using one or two words, and look at all the searches that have been done, and how much advertising competition you would have. You can also go to ClickBank and see what is currently selling there. The best for pay tool is Keyword Elite 2. It has so many features that will make you money, it will pay for itself in no time.

3. Work with a winning niche: Do not begin the rest of the steps unless you have found a niche with sufficient searches. This is critical. A few thousand searches per month can be good enough, but there must be people searching for your chosen niche in order for you to make money on the web. The niche can be narrow, but it must be deep.

4. Decide what you will sell: You can sell your own product, or the products of others. The easiest and quickest way is usually to sell products that others have created. The way to do that is to establish accounts with affiliate companies like Commission Junction, Link Connector, Link Share, and ClickBank.

5. Create a website that sells something and or collects a list: A website can be as simple as a free site from Blinkweb or Squdioo, a free Blog from Wordpress, or a full-blown e-commerce site from a professional designer. Give people valuable content and add your affiliate ads to your site, or market your product, but keep this in mind: No matter how good your site is, not everyone will buy something from you on the first visit. And if they don't buy something on the first visit, chances are you will never see them again. The web is just so huge. It's better to gather names of people who are interested in your subject and to market to them via email then to do it any other way. In order to gather those names you're going to have to give away something of value, like free information or software. It's called the ethical bribe.
